Did you know that there are genetic tests that tell you how to eat?

Medicine has evolved and we are now working on health prevention. The identification of some genes that are related to the way we metabolize food, the relationship between genetic predisposition and weight control and the association between some diseases resulting from excess weight and our genome are already a reality. With this information available, we can make a more assertive diagnosis and prescribe in a more personalized way.

In this workshop Dr. Teresa BrancoPhysiologist in Weight Management and PhD in Health and Fitness, will talk about genetic predisposition and weight control and explain to what extent genetics can help us understand the way we metabolize food. The relationship between genes and physical activity will also be discussed.
